Christmas wood block printing

Here are a couple of fun craft ideas to try for Christmas! 

A drawstring bag makes an lovely present in itself but also works as a gift bag. Here is an example we made using wood blocks with gold and silver fabric paint. The variety of block size and motifs creates a lively and interesting random pattern. As we were using snowflakes, we chose 'let it snow' for our message.

How about this traditional Christmas wreath? For this we used a variety of small leaf motifs and layered them up using sage and olive green paint, with a few red berries for the holly and gold for the stars. To achieve the right shape, insert a piece of paper into your bag with the circle drawn in thick black pen. This will show through the fabric and be your guide.
