Sustainability and Ethics Statement

At Zena & Rose we have consciously thought about the environmental impact on our planet and the labour conditions of our suppliers. We only work with trusted companies so you can be reassured that when you buy a product from us, you know where it came from and how it was made.

Manufacturing

Textile supply chain

All our textile fabrics come from a cotton supply chain which is monitored by SEDEX and OKEO-TEX certification. This means the environmental impact of processes and the conditions of workers are checked to make sure they are fair and legal.

In addition:

  • The digital printing process uses 95% less energy than screen printing. Both processes use water-based inks which are better for the environment than chemical printing.
  • Left over ink is professionally processed, not going into landfill.
  • Factory uses sustainable energy where possible (solar-powered).
  • All processes carried out in-house in the UK to reduce air carbon footprint.

Paper

The paper for our greeting cards is responsible sourced from FSC certified sources and is recyclable.

Packaging

  • Sustainably sourced material (FSC certified)
  • Recyclable card/paper, soy ink and resin glue
  • All processes carried out in-house in the UK to reduce air carbon footprint.

Delivery

We have chosen to work with Royal Mail because this Which report rates Royal Mail as the ‘eco-friendliest’ of all the main delivery companies.
