Rana Begum: Dappled Light, Pitzhanger Manor, London

Zena & Rose has been energised by the Rana Begum: Dappled Light exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor, London! The installations are inspired by the building, originally the home of Sir John Soane. Begum makes use of transparent and reflective materials, as well as a variety of textures and colours. The highlight is undoubtably the colourful mesh ‘clouds’ floating in the central hall.

The other works include a large canvas painted with dots, which softly blend into one another.  Outside coloured transparent sheets produce different effects depending on where you stand and how sunny it is. As the coloured lights overlap, new shades are created.

Until next time creative crew,
