We invite you to join us on a creative journey into the world of wood block printing.
Do you have lots of old tote bags lying around? What about old T-shirts? Maybe some tea towels?
Bring your old cotton items and we will upcycle them with beautiful prints!
This workshop for beginners requires no prior knowledge or skills. We are here to guide you and make sure you have a great time! It is a relaxing process where you can get into the creative flow.
You will be able to choose from over 100 beautiful wood blocks, hand-carved in India, featuring botanical, animal and geometric designs. You will learn how to use the blocks to make creative prints and how to choose great colour combinations. Your tutor Joanna will work with you individually to discuss your ideas before you move onto printing your final items.
Please note: Items have to be 100% cotton, pre-washed and ironed. This is to ensure the fabric paint can be ironed onto the fabric and the design becomes permanent. All items can be washed at 30 degrees after ironing.
All materials and tea/coffee are included in the cost of the workshop.
